Community Involvement

In order to engage with the community, we put on our toques, gloves, and hosted a holiday event for skaters and park attendees at Bowness Park. We wanted to give back to the community and do something to show our clients how much we appreciate their business. The event featured Christmas music, firepit areas, and the beautiful Christmas lights of Bowness Park. Extra firewood, warm pocket toasters, and hot chocolate helped bring out the warm community spirit from the park goers.

Here are a few photos from that day.

It’s easy to forget how wonderful it is to have the park right in our backyards. I will walk you through everything that you need to know about Bowness Park. The park is located in the northwest portion of the city. It flows along the Bow River between the Stoney Trail and 85 Street NW. The park is known for its numerous family-friendly features, such as the swimming pool, a children’s play area, and a floating lake.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the park is open for ice skating. However, children’s equipment and hockey sticks are not allowed on the ice. The best time to ice skate at the park is during the winter season, which is from the end of December to March. It’s lined with rubber mats that allow skaters to easily walk around the area. You can follow the new 1.6-kilometer ice trail around the park or go on the huge lagoon’s ice skating rink.

After spending some time on the ice, there are fire pits to warm your toes as you sip on hot chocolate from The Seasons of Bowness. Tea House is also known for its sandwiches, cupcakes, and hot chocolate. Another popular place to eat is the Seasons of Bowness Park, which also offers a variety of food options. In the summer Bowness Park features various family-friendly features such as bocce ball courts, playground equipment, and a floating lake.
